Detailed EASA CPL/IR Program

Pre-Entry requirements:

·         Applicant should have valid ICAO PPL.

Module 1 – EASA ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Course

To prepare our students for the theoretical EASA ATPL examination we are delivering parts of our training using our certified CATS distance learning course. 14 subjects and a total of 650 hours must be completed in total. Each stage is comprised of approximately 3 months of Distance Learning (we are calculating an average study time of 15 hours per week), accompanied with web-based training via the CATS system. The total duration time of the course can be reduced by the student if the study time per week is increased.

Exam sittings can be carried out directly at our facilities in Jordan with the advantage of reducing travel expenses and the stress factor for our cadets. There are 14 subjects that have to be passed (Passmark 75% in each subject) by a student for a successfully pass of the EASA theory exams for the ATPL license. The exams at our facilities are under the full responsibility of Austrian CAA (Austro Control) and are conducted via computer based multiple choice tests based on the European Central Question bank (ECQB).

Tests will be provided on a state-of-the-art IPad and all annexes needed for the examination are available in digital manner on the IPad and as a print version.

ATPL Course Requirement

Module 2 –   ICAO to EASA Private Pilot License conversion.

This will include:

  • Assessment of the cadet and Aircraft type familiarization.

  • Hungarian CAA PPL theory examinations

  • EASA medical

  • PPL Check ride

Module 3 – Structured Hour Building

88 hours of time building is started as soon as candidates receive their PPL to consolidate and improve their flying skills and experience before starting advanced flight training modules. Hour building and ATPL Theory can be done at the same time. During Hour Building trainees will gain experience with international flights to controlled airports and in more demanding situations!

Build time towards the requirements of the next level.

Hour Building Requirements

  • At least a PPL in the appropriate aircraft category

  • At least valid class II medical certificate

  • Sufficient knowledge of English

A skill assessment and SOP familiarization will be conducted.
For further details and prices feel free to contact us!

Aircraft types available for time building

  • Tecnam P2002JF

  • Cessna 150

  • Cessna 152

  • Cessna 172 (with extra cost)

Module 4 – Night Rating

It is recommended to start NVFR training when candidates approach 100 hours of flight experience, or just before the Instrument Rating module. The training consists of a theory course which is concluded by an in-house exam after 5 hours of flying. It is generally completed in 2-3 nights.

NVFR Course Requirements

  • At least a PPL in the appropriate aircraft category

  • At least valid class II medical certificate

  • Sufficient knowledge of English

Theoretical part
You are required to undertake 10 hours of ‘ground school’ study at the school.

Practical part
5 hours of flying. It is generally completed in 2-3 nights.

Module 5 – SE IR Rating

50 hours of dual flight training to enable trainees to conduct IFR flights in Single Engine Piston aircrafts. Training can generally be completed in less than 2 months. A skill test is required at the end of this module.

SE IR Course Requirements

  • At least a PPL in the appropriate aircraft category

  • Privileges to fly at night

  • IR or CPL or ATPL theory credit

  • Have completed at least 50 hours of cross-country flight time as PIC in airplanes

  • At least valid class II medical certificate

  • Sufficient knowledge of English

Theoretical part
You are required to undertake ‘ground school’ study at the school.

Practical part
50 hours of dual flight training to enable trainees to conduct IFR flights in Single Engine Piston aircrafts.

Module 6 – MEP Class Rating

The Multi Engine Piston Class Rating is a 6-flight-hour course on our PA-34 Seneca aircraft. A skill test is required after the training however it can be conducted just after completion of CPL training which also includes 5 hours of Multi Engine time. MEP training can be completed in 2-3 days only.

EASA PPL Training in Hungary

The first step towards achieving your goal is to earn the Private Pilot Licence (PPL). This training consists of a theoretical part in the form of distance learning and minimum 45 hours of flight training. For most candidates it takes less than 2 months from the beginning to finish the course. At the end of the training a skill test is required. With this licence you can fly all around Europe in VFR and even take your friends and family for a ride!

Course Pre-Entry Requirements

  • An applicant for a PPL shall be at least 17 years of age

  • Able to obtain EASA class II medical certificate

  • Sufficient knowledge of English

The 9 subjects for EASA PPL are as follows – PPL EASA Theoretical Knowledge Course:

  • Air Law

  • Aircraft General Knowledge

  • Flight Planning & Performance

  • Human Performance & Limitations

  • Meteorology

  • Navigation

  • Operational Procedures

  • Principles of Flight

  • Communications

You are required to undertake 70 hours of self study, followed by 30 hours of ‘ground school’ at the school.  During the week long ‘ground school’, you will have an opportunity to take the official EASA PPL exams. Our trainees have a PASS rate over 90% on first attempt!
